About Sectorial councils
Creating opportunities to actively contribute to stimulating the growth and prosperity of key sectors
Successful international practices have restored the voice of business to represent the sector rather than the activity
Positive conglomerate = thinking cell + strategic partnerships
Representation of all main activity segments was taken into account, and the weight was given within each sectoral council, as they amounted to 68 economic activities according to several criteria, the most important of which are:
-The size of the entities (two-thirds are large and giant, and one-third are medium and small)
-Classification of activities according to the strategies of the relevant ministries and agencies
-The experience and vision of the members of the sectoral councils about the economically influential activities in the sector
-Based on the project or product journey
- Aligning activities with the national classification of economic activities
Sectoral Councils in the Jeddah Chamber assume a set of responsibilities with the aim of contributing to the study of the investment environment for business sectors, identifying opportunities and challenges, and making appropriate recommendations for them, in addition to contributing to expressing views on regulations and systems, in which large and giant entities, and small and medium entities, integrate with strategic partners to serve and develop the business environment in Jeddah.
Members of the sectoral councils work within each council, within groups and work teams that integrate together to provide the best services and ensure fair representation of all activities, whether through the work teams of the main groups, or through the creation of temporary work teams that are established based on the activity concerned in the event of a challenge or initiative. Activity representatives wish to discuss them in the council, or form an expert group to discuss common issues between sectoral councils or issues, initiatives and regulations specific to a specific sector.
