On behalf of His Highness Governor Of Makkah Province, the Governor of Jeddah opens the Events of the Fifth Gulf Businesswomen Forum 2023

Today, on behalf of HRH Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Province, His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, Governor of Jeddah, opened the events of the Fifth Gulf Businesswomen Forum 2023 and the accompanying exhibition under the theme "Gulf Women: Between Empowerment and Leadership". The Forum is organized by the Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Federation of Saudi Chambers, and the Jeddah Chamber, with the participation of more than 1,000 persons from various Gulf and Arab countries.

During the ceremony, His Highness and the audience watched a visual presentation which reviewed the successes and achievements made by Gulf women at all levels.

Then, Mohammed Yousef Naghi, the Chairman of the BOD of Jeddah Chamber, delivered a speech in which he highlighted the role of the Forum - hosted by Jeddah Governorate over two days - in enhancing the Kingdom's position through hosting and organizing the economic and investment events at the local, Gulf and Arab world level, where he noted the Forum's objectives, at the forefront of which are enhancement of the Businesswomen's role in the chambers of the GCC countries, adoption of the economic performance indicator for the businesswomen sector and the extent of its contribution to the domestic product as well as exchange of the ideas in the field of enhancing the women's status, empowerment, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Then, Mr. Hassan bin Mujab Al-Huwaizi, the Chairman of the BOD of the Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, addressed the Forum topics related to empowerment of the women as an active and influential partner in the growth and development process, to achieve the GCC leaders' aspirations, and stressed that the Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries is keen to provide the necessary support to empower the women in various fields and enhance their participation in the economic renaissance experienced by the GCC countries.

After that, during the ceremony, Dr. Mazen Bin Nusair, the CEO of Alahyaa Community Centers Association in Makkah "Strategic Partner", delivered a speech in which he reviewed the ways of empowerment of the women in the leadership fields through this economic event, and enhancement of their role in various economic sectors, to achieve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and pay attention to and support the female entrepreneurs to achieve competitive business advantage, where he noted the women's role in the GCC countries in the economic development as an active and influential partner in the growth, development and construction process.

Then, Mr. Suhail Bakr Altayar, the CEO of Netaq Company for Organizing Exhibitions and Conferences (organizer), noted: By virtue of the Forum’s activities which highlight the Gulf women's role in the economic development, highlight the businesswomen's efforts and initiatives in the GCC countries, and act to overcome the challenges they encounter in the GCC countries; in light of the unlimited support received by the women from the Gulf leaders in the GCC countries, these acts contributed to continuous great successes for the Gulf women and the global reach thereof in their participation in various forums.

Moreover, HRH Princess Lolowah AlFaisal, Vice-Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and General Supervisor of Effat University, delivered a speech in which she stressed the importance of forming cooperative networks among the Gulf businesswomen on basis of cooperation and trust, which, God willing, will be the major basis for their wealth
